Tradewinds Driver of the Year

Tradewinds recognizes the drivers who go above and beyond the call of duty. Each year we single out a driver who put the teams objectives before their own and demonstrate a consistent high standard of character, safety and professional demeanor. Congratulations to these individuals.

Tradewinds Operations has been working on naming the 2006 Driver of the Year. Each of our Driver Managers nominated 3 drivers based on the following criteria: Minimum of 1 years service with Tradewinds; Little or no load refusals; Accident Free; Minimum of 100,000 miles ran in 2006; No Log issues; No out of service issues.

After gathering the information on the candidates suggested by our Driver Managers we are happy to announce that our 2006 Driver of the Year is Tom Young, Tom is from Osco, IL. Tom has been with us since June 1, 2004. He drove 147,049 miles in 2006 with no accidents, no claims and no log issues. Tom will be presented a plaque, and an all expense paid cruise in a ceremony at our Corporate Office in Arcadia, IN, with a date to be determined .

2005 - Tom Gruszka

We are pleased to announce that Tom Gruszka is the 2005 Driver of the Year. Tom is an owner operator and lives in Marianna, Floirda. He has been with Tradewinds since Aug 2004. Toms dedication to customer service, professionalism and committment to safety were key factors in his selection for Driver of the Year. Tom has an impeccable driving record and operates in a safe and professional manner. Congratulations Tom.

2004 - Doug Tillotson

Tradewinds is proud to announce that Doug Tillotson from Mishawaka, IN has been named Driver Of The Year for 2004. Doug has been with Tradewinds since 2003 and demonstrated his commitment to quality immediately. Doug was presented the award by Vice President Matthew Deck. Doug's wife Mary also attended the ceremony. Congratulations Doug and we look forward to a wonderful 2005.

2003 - Al Lester

Tradewinds is proud to announce that Al Lester, from Groveport, OH, has been named Driver Of The Year for 2003. Al is working on his third year with the company and has done an exceptional job each of those years. His strong work ethic, honesty, and dedication to trucking make him an outstanding representative of what our organization stands for. Al has always done everything in his power to work with dispatch to satisfy the different needs of our customers. Safety has also been at the top of Al’s priority list. His driving record is solid and his logs are never in question. Congratulations Al and we look forward to a wonderful 2004.
