Just thought I would share some thoughts about adversity with you. I believe that our loving God is always trying to get our attention. Unfortunately, sometimes God gets our attention through a job loss, a career change, or family sickness. Since so many things are always competing for our attention sometimes the only way that God can get our attention is when we are down and out and for some of us that may mean being sick and being flat on our backs. For some of us that may be the only time we will ever look up and seek the help of God. Is God trying to get your attention today about a matter that is getting you down? Why not trust God to intervene in your life? The Bible says, “don’t let your heart be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me” (John 14:1) “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you” (Isaiah 43:2). Has God got your attention yet?
